Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara (born in Romania) is a Romanian actor and TV host. Her most well-known work is the lead in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control, and Rush. The actress was born as the sole son of Romanian film actor Valentin Platareanu. At the age of 16, Alexandra played the leading part in a variety of television dramas. Her performance as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue, in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated wartime historical film), was critically and commercially acclaimed. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film featuring this divas. Alexandra is involved in many noteworthy projects, both in the United States and internationally. The projects include British biographical film Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon, amongst others. Additionally, she was an active member of the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
